Share a little bit with us about who you are. Where are you from? What do you like to do for fun? What do you aspire toward in life? Tell us anything you’d like to share about your life:

I am originally from Vietnam, having lived there for six years before moving to Burien, WA as my permanent home. For fun, I devote time for singing and waste time with video games. My aspirations include becoming more involved with Japanese, as most of my musical taste revolve around the language.

Where are your favorite spots on or near campus to study? Get coffee? With the best views?

My favorite spot for studying is the Odegaard Library as it is very conveniently located and has many computers that are organised in a fashion suitable for groups. I do not go out for coffee near campus, but I enjoy the views near the sakura of the UW Quad.

How has being in college challenged your faith?

Due to time constraints that come with being a commuter, I have had many stressful periods of time that made me question if I am being guided down an enlightening path. However, due to having many wonderful chance encounters with amazing people, I have been able to gladly cultivating my faith.

How do you hope to grow as a disciple of Jesus by the time you graduate college?

I want to become involved in something that is outside of my own ambitions. I generally do not make myself part of groups or clubs and I am wishing to change that.

What are the greatest obstacles you see for your spiritual growth on UW campus?

My current sizable obstacle is the risk of not successfully being accepted for my major. The fear that comes with that risk also results in byproducts such as the inability to enjoy time not directly devoted to academics.

How has Sojourn encouraged you in your faith through your time in college thus far?

By allowing myself to be introduced to many people, Sojourn has helped me share experiences and learn from the wisdom of others.
