Get to know Nathaniel

Share a little bit with us about who you are. Where are you from? What do you like to do for fun? What do you aspire toward in life? Tell us anything you’d like to share about your life:

It’s me, Nathaniel, I wish I played more IMA basketball and had a stand up comedy show.

Where are your favorite spots on or near campus to study? Get coffee? With the best views?

Ranier Vista in spring time, coffee hurts my head.

How has being in college challenged your faith?

Most people are challenged mentally once coming to college, tempted, having friends who aren’t able to steer me back into the light as my immediate friends has been very difficult.

How do you hope to grow as a disciple of Jesus by the time you graduate college?

I want Jesus to be the focal point of my life, learning more about his messages and how to live my life more like Jesus everyday.

What are the greatest obstacles you see for your spiritual growth on UW campus?

The way that faith isn’t prioritized over school or work makes a culture that is go go go and it’s very easy to get caught up in that. Additionally it being the part of your life, college, where everything to try is in front of you.

How has Sojourn encouraged you in your faith through your time in college thus far?

Providing people who can love on you and tell you it’s gonna all be okay at the end of the day. The Sojourn team never fails to be incredible.
